Ascovime was formally founded in 2008 by Dr. Georges Bwelle, a surgeon at the Central Hospital of Yaounde, Cameroon. Ascovime is comprised entirely of volunteers which means that 100% of donations go straight to the people who need them. (How donations are used?) Volunteers come from all over the world to raise money, awareness, and contribute on Ascovime’s medical teams. In the past, medical students, residents, teachers, and just general volunteers from France, Spain, the United States, Belgium, and other nations have traveled to Cameroon and seen first hand the lives they are changing.
